Power Training courses at Red Hat Summit give you in-depth training with expert instructors at special rates. Running 2 full days before the conference begins, Power Training courses are accelerated versions of Red Hat Training courses and can help you get more out of your Red Hat Summit investment. Include add ons as part of your official conference registration.

Attendees can add only 1 power training course, as each course runs for 2 full days, and attendance on both days is necessary for course completion.

2018 Power Training courses:

Red Hat® Ansible Automation can be used to configure and manage systems locally, in a cloud, or in DevOps environments. This introduction to Red Hat Ansible Automation will teach you to manage and configure systems, including those in DevOps environments. Students should possess fundamental system administration skills.

Ansible Tower can be used to centrally manage Red Hat Ansible Automation projects in a way that scales to large teams and complex enterprise installations. This course is for Linux® system administrators, cloud administrators, and network administrators familiar with Red Hat Ansible Automation, Ansible playbooks and roles, and Linux system administration.

This course will teach Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform administrators how to install and manage a Red Hat OpenShift cluster. Students should understand Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.

This hands-on source teaches developers how to containerize applications for deployment on Kubernetes using Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Students should understand Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.

This hands-on course teaches Java developers and architects how to build a microservices-based application using microservices architecture and MicroProfile concepts and patterns deployed on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Students should understand Java EE development.

This course will teach essential Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 skills to system administrators familiar with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 or earlier. Because topics will focus on the significant changes between Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and previous releases, not all Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 administration essentials in will be covered.

This course will teach experienced Linux system administrators to measure and control performance on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 systems. Students should possess previous system administration experience or understand fundamental computer science concepts.

This course will teach system administrators how to configure and deploy a cloud computing environment using OpenStack® by managing instances using the Horizon dashboard and the command-line. Students should possess fundamental Linux administration skills.

This course will teach network engineers, network operators, cloud operators, and cloud administrators how to manage and tune OpenStack networking for performance. Students will learn about high-performance software-defined networks and be taught how to virtualize a network infrastructure—including distributed virtual routers. Students should be understand the fundamentals of OpenStack and possess basic OpenStack administration skills.

This introductory course covers building and managing containers for deployment on a Kubernetes cluster, helping students build container management knowledge and skills through hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

Attendees can only add 1 power training course, as each course is 2 days in length.

Certification exams

Red Hat certifications are among the most highly regarded in the IT industry and mean you have proven your skills by passing a performance-based test of real-world tasks. Exam sessions at Red Hat Summit are limited to 20 students per session and can be added on as part of your official conference registration. Each exam cost $400 and can be purchased during registration.

The performance-based Red Hat Certified Administrator exam tests students’ knowledge and skill in areas of system administration common across a wide range of environments and deployment scenarios—skills that form the foundation for system administration across all Red Hat products. You must be an Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA®) to become an Red Hat Certified Administrator.

The performance-based Red Hat Certified Engineer exam verifies that students’ knowledge, skill, and ability meet those required of a senior system administrator responsible for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 systems. Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is required to become a Red Hat Certified Engineer.

The performance-based Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Ansible Automation exam tests students’ abilities to use Red Hat Ansible Automation to automate system configuration and applications based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7. Passing this exam counts towards becoming a Red Hat Certified Architect.

Add Power Training (2 full days of extensive training) to your conference pass for $1,200. Add certification exams to your conference pass for $400 each.
