Stefanie Chiras

Vice President and General Manager, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Business Unit, Red Hat

Dr. Stefanie Chiras is the Vice President and General Manager of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux organization at Red Hat. The Red Hat Enterprise Linux organization is responsible for the successful definition, execution, and delivery of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Dr. Chiras’s organization sets the worldwide business standards and works in tandem with customers and partners to ensure Red Hat Enterprise Linux exceeds market demands.

As Vice President and General Manager of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux organization, Chiras drives an adaptive and collaborative approach to the strategic implementation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, from transforming customer deployments to delivering the technical foundation for the entire Red Hat portfolio. Her teams also enable engineering relationships and execution for the wide ecosystem of Red Hat partners.

Paul Cormier

President, Products and Technologies, Red Hat

Paul Cormier leads Red Hat's technology and products organizations, including engineering, product management, and product marketing for Red Hat's technologies. He joined Red Hat in May 2001 as executive vice president of engineering.

Cormier's leadership and experience in enterprise technology has led to the introduction of Red Hat's acclaimed line of enterprise products, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux®. He has been instrumental in forging tight partnerships with many leading technology companies.

Before Red Hat, Cormier served as senior vice president of research and development at BindView, helping the company achieve market leadership in 2000.

Matt Hicks

Senior Vice President, Engineering, Red Hat

Matt Hicks is the Senior Vice President of Engineering at Red Hat. He is responsible for all product engineering at Red Hat, including products such as Red Hat OpenShift, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Middleware, Red Hat OpenStack Platform, and Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. Hicks has been with Red Hat for 14 years, experiencing it grow from a single product company to a multi-billion dollar enterprise. He was one of the founding members of the OpenShift team and has been on the forefront of cloud computing ever since.

With over 20 years of experience in Linux, Hicks has always had a passion for combining infrastructure and application technologies. Prior to Red Hat, he had several years at IBM as well as startup experience where he served in a variety of roles spanning engineering, IT, and consulting. That breadth of experience has allowed Hicks to help guide technology to solve customer and business problems across all areas of IT.

Chris Wright

Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Red Hat

Chris Wright is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Red Hat. Wright leads the Office of the CTO, which is responsible for incubating emerging technologies and developing forward-looking perspectives on innovations such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, distributed storage, software defined networking and network functions virtualization, containers, automation and continuous delivery, and distributed ledger.

During his more than 20 years as a software engineer, Wright has worked in the telecommunications industry on high-availability and distributed systems, and in the Linux industry on security, virtualization, and networking. He has been a Linux developer for more than 15 years, most of that time spent working deep in the Linux kernel. He is passionate about open source software serving as the foundation for next generation IT systems.

On April 27, the day before this year’s virtual event kicks off, you can learn what’s in the current release of Red Hat OpenShift® 4.3 and what’s planned for the future at the Virtual OpenShift Commons Gathering. This forum will run from 9 a.m.–6 p.m. ET and feature discussion of best practices, lessons learned, and the open source projects that support OpenShift and Kubernetes—all from project leads with production enterprise deployments.
