Evaluator Group worked with Red Hat engineers to test input/output performance for Red Hat Ceph Storage. Previously, we showed deterministic performance for a 1 billion object workload. In this test, we wanted to see what would happen if we really pushed the limits of Ceph, so we engaged in a workload 10 times the size. The results show that Red Hat Ceph Storage can indeed scale with performance to 10 billion objects and likely beyond. This test has resulted in insights as to where bottlenecks might occur and how to architect systems to attain performance for small and large object workloads.
