Over the September 6 weekend, Singapore’s youth and tech community gathered for the first-ever Tech Fest organized by the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA). The Tech Fest seeks to raise awareness of the tech industry among the youth in Singapore and offer them the opportunity to meet executives, garner career advice, and learn about the latest developments in the industry.

More than 500 attendees were treated to a Red Hat demonstration on how to power up a Raspberry Pi by harnessing the wattage generated from pedaling a bicycle.

Red Hat is proud to have been part of the inaugural Tech Fest in Singapore and hopes that attendees enjoyed learning more about Red Hat and open source. We hope that tech self-starters and student developers will get involved in open source, join Project Atomic and help contribute to the direction of future technology and innovation.
