From the editor: We’re 25, thanks to you

Without open source technology, many things we take for granted would look a lot different―or even cease to exist: the internet, smartphones, GPS, air travel, and much more. Including Red Hat. (We, for one, are thankful open source software was invented.)

This year, the term “open source software” is 20, and Red Hat is 25. Neither milestone would’ve been possible without you―developers, customers, partners, pioneers, and open source champions everywhere. This special anniversary issue of Red Hat® Shares is dedicated to you.

A lot has happened in 25 years
