Meet the Red Hat speakers:

Chris Wright
Chris Wright is vice president and chief technology officer (CTO) at Red Hat. Wright leads the Office of the CTO, which is responsible for incubating emerging technologies and developing forward-looking perspectives on innovations such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, distributed storage, software defined networking and network functions virtualization, containers, automation and continuous delivery, and distributed ledger.
During his more than 20 years as a software engineer, Wright has worked in the telecommunications industry on high availability and distributed systems, and in the Linux industry on security, virtualization, and networking. He has been a Linux developer for more than 15 years, most of that time spent working deep in the Linux kernel. He is passionate about open source software serving as the foundation for next generation IT systems. He lives in sunny Portland, Oregon, where he is happily engaged in open source projects such as OpenDaylight, Open vSwitch, OPNFV, OpenStack, Open Container Initiative, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation.

Jack Baratta
Jack Baratta is senior director, global ISV partners and alliances at Red Hat, and has worked in the high technology industry for his entire professional career. This includes working for a defense contractor, a medical OEM and Hewlett-Packard prior to joining Red Hat. His experience spans Business Development (alliances, design/win, competitive take-out, new channel development and installed base sales), Reseller Sales, Marketing Management, Industry Marketing,
Business Operations, Demand Forecasting and Manufacturing.
At Red Hat, Jack manages a global team who work with both emerging and the largest international ISVs. In addition, given his extensive alliances and sales background, Jack has been deeply involved in worldwide projects which encompass strategy, portfolio optimization, resource alignment, partner enablement and organizational readiness.

Kirsten Kliphouse
Kirsten Kliphouse is senior vice president and general manager of North America Commercial Sales at Red Hat, where she focuses on building strategies and collaborating with partners and customers to implement flexible open source solutions that help customers drive innovation in their own businesses. Kliphouse joined Red Hat in January 2018 with responsibility for sales, marketing, consulting, channels, and strategic planning.
Kliphouse is a technology industry veteran, with business leadership and sales experience ranging from start-ups to the biggest software company in the world. Most recently, Kliphouse was CEO of Yardarm Technologies, a start-up in the IoT space. After beginning her career as a programmer and analyst, she moved into a sales role. She spent several years at Microsoft, starting as a sales account manager and progressing into sales leadership and general manager roles. Kliphouse left Microsoft as corporate vice president of the company’s worldwide Customer Support and Professional Services organization, but she previously served as vice president of Enterprise Software Sales and Consulting and general manager of the company’s OEM business.
