Decision modeling for business analysts using Decision Model and Notation (DMN)

Business analysis often involves documenting and understanding how organizations make critical operational decisions. This process traditionally has been complex, often involving multiple spreadsheets and different approaches to describing business rules. But now there is a new approach based on a standard modeling language: Decision Model and Notation (DMN). DMN can add value to organizations by helping them model and automate decisions.

For the Object Management Group (OMG), Denis is the chair of the BPMN Interchange Working Group and co-chair of the BPM Health Working Group. He also is a member of the Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN), Case Management Model and Notation (CMMN), and Decision Model and Notation (DMN) teams. He is a member of the Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) Steering Committee, chair of the Business Process Simulation Working Group (BPSWG), and co-editor of the XPDL 2.2 process definition standard.
