Business success can be increasingly based on an organization’s ability to react to change. As new disruptive players enter markets and technology upends what consumers expect, organizations often need to change plans in shorter cycles. Modern software architectures and processes can help make organizations more effective at dealing with this change and emerge as leaders in their markets.
"Planning as we know it is dead," was the keynote message delivered by Jim Whitehurst, Red Hat president and CEO, at the 2017 Red Hat Summit. "Planning harder in a less-known environment just isn’t the answer." In today’s world, the pace of innovation and disruption is accelerating in business. With that comes change, which can jar or break plans quickly and, in some instances, be extremely costly. Hence, the ability to react to change quickly can be a necessity. Enterprise integration can be at the heart of an organization's IT architecture. It may be necessary. But it is often a bottleneck.
To help remove this bottleneck and improve the approach to enterprise integration at Red Hat we conceived an architectural framework called agile integration.
To introduce this concept and its benefits we are planning an online conference:
Agile Integration: Enterprise Integration from a Necessary Evil to Building Competitive Advantage
Nov. 13, 2018 from 14:00 -- 17:00 CET
You’ll find registration and more details about the event here.
At the conference, we plan to discuss how customers can build a competitive advantage using agile integration. The highlights include:
- A Forrester keynote on integration challenges and approaches based on a global study sponsored by Red Hat
- Thought leaders in six talks split into business and technical tracks -- including Red Hat Innovation Award winner Lufthansa Technik
- Red Hat CEO and President Jim Whitehurst with an introduction about the importance of Agile Integration for organisations
The integration challenges for organizations can be far-reaching. From integrating internal systems or services, onboarding partners, and nurturing profitable ecosystems, to developing and monetizing new services based on existing data more quickly.
Organizations are also learning to build mobile or IoT apps more effectively. In addition, organizations can integrate with cloud and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings to increase their ability to react quickly to changing market conditions.
Faced with so many challenges, how your organization addresses them may determine if you are a leader or a follower in your market, or even relevant in the market at all.
Why is agile integration a formula to help tackle these modern enterprise integration challenges?
With Red Hat as a trusted partner, we can work together on an architectural framework that can help increase your organization’s agility. We help provide a foundation that is characterised by distributed integration logic (as opposed to centralised and often heavyweight enterprise services buses), containerization and API-centric system design and API management.
