Red Hat cited as a “Visionary” in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Application Platform-as-a-Service, Worldwide for OpenShift Online Offering

Red Hat has been positioned in the Visionary quadrant of the Gartner, Inc., “Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Application Platform-as-a-Service, Worldwide” for our OpenShift Online public Platform-as-a-Service offering... Red Hat was evaluated against 16 other public PaaS vendors. OpenShift allows transferable code base between on-premise and public offerings allowing better flexibility of choice for developers. "Its robust platform and interoperability with popular middleware development frameworks has enabled more than 2.25 million applications to be created for a variety of business and developer needs."

Red Hat released Wednesday JBoss EAP 6.4 and rolled out new subscription flexibility and expanded benefits for JBoss EAP subscribers deploying their Java applications in hybrid cloud environments... JBoss EAP supports a broad range of third-party frameworks, operating systems, databases, security, and identity systems to make integration into existing infrastructure easier. In addition, new subscription flexibility expands support for customers deploying JBoss EAP across multiple environments based on their individual needs and business requirements, including on-premise, in a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environment, or in hybrid cloud scenarios.

eWeek - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7 Enters Beta

Linux vendor Red Hat on May 5 released its Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.7 beta, providing users with a preview of features and capabilities that will become generally available later this year... Just because Red Hat is working on RHEL 7 doesn't mean it's leaving its RHEL 6 users behind. Red Hat has a 10-year life cycle process for its operating system platform, which includes multiple phases of support... Many of the new features that will be appearing in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 will likely be added to Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.
