We believe this recognition is a testament not just to Red Hat associates around the world, but also to the open source communities that are driving so much incredible innovation. Red Hat Helps Intermountain Healthcare Digitally Transform with Modernized Infrastructure and IT Automation
Rather than continue on with expensive, complex legacy tools, Intermountain’s IT team sought to transition to an open source infrastructure, which provides capabilities that not only support its existing needs, but can give them the flexibility to address future requirements without vendor lock –in.

This year, OpenStack has seen an increase in adoption across businesses of all sizes, not just in the enterprise. Regardless of organization size, deployments continue to grow. According to 451 Research and the OpenStack Foundation, 72% of OpenStack deployments are now between 1,000 and 10,000 cores in size, and happening in companies with under 10,000 employees.

Forrester Consulting recently embarked on a Red Hat-commissioned study of the total economic impacts (TEI) of Red Hat Virtualization. The TEI study was based on an interview with a large European transportation manufacturer that has used Red Hat Virtualization over a period of six months. Among other powerful numbers included in the article, this customer realized a 103 percent return on investment (ROI) and a payback period of 5.6 months.
