A new innovation available in this release is the ability to shrink the hardware footprint of the storage solution while maintaining the data integrity and durability required by the most demanding workloads. This is particularly beneficial to hyperconverged use cases such as remote or branch offices where datacenter space is at a premium and power costs are a large fraction of the IT budget. Hyperconverged storage configurations can also benefit from the faster and granular self healing capabilities in this release.
