Red Hat’s Azhar Sayeed will join a panel on 5G and the network edge, moderated by Mark Smith, strategic marketing consultant for IBC and TM Forum. In the context of media and entertainment, panelists are scheduled to discuss how a secure, agile, and virtualized network can unlock new services at the edge, maximize efficiencies of the infrastructure, and deliver on the promise of 5G.

GSMA Women4Tech Roundtable

The Women4Tech program takes place throughout MWC19 and aims to increase gender diversity in the telecom industry with the intent of enhancing organizational performance and improving life in the communities served by the telecommunication industry.

As part of the program, Red Hat is sponsoring the Women4Tech roundtable, hosting more than 25 senior technology leaders from around the globe. The roundtable will be moderated by Dr. Stefanie Chiras, VP and general manager of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and Laxmi Akkaraju, chief strategy officer of Groupe Speciale Mobile Association (GSMA). Chris Wright, VP and CTO of Red Hat, will also be presenting at the event. We look forward to having productive discussions on how diversity is driving innovation in the era of digital transformation, and how an open culture can help create a more diverse and inclusive workforce.
