It’s hard to believe that we are already halfway through the year, and what a year it has been. Thank you to all of our partners for their contributions to drive success for our clients and for demonstrating impressive flexibility and creativity during these difficult times. While this year has certainly been one of continuous change and new challenges, I would like to take the opportunity to reflect on the momentum and innovation seen across our partner ecosystem thus far.
As the marketplace continues to evolve in response to the global pandemic, the need for agility, automation and security in technology has become paramount for the enterprise. Additionally, we are experiencing a new age of organizational change and virtualization as people look for different ways of collaborating and staying connected. We were thrilled to have more than 10,000 members of our partner ecosystem register for the recent Red Hat Summit 2020 Virtual Experience, a testament to the dedication of our partners to the open source community.
Beyond Summit, we delivered six breakout sessions as part of the Virtual North America Partner Experience that are now available on-demand on the partner portal. Red Hat also hosted a successful virtual event for our Apex Partner Program and introduced Red Hat OpenShift Container Adoption Day to showcase offerings from our independent software vendors (ISVs) supporting modern cloud application development and deployment for customers. We look forward to identifying even more opportunities to foster virtual engagement with and between our partners as the year continues.
By working collaboratively with partners, we are able to achieve real results for our customers. Here are some recent examples of how partners are using open source technology to drive positive business outcomes:
-
CloudGen Smart EDI solution, powered by Red Hat OpenShift, enables mid-market retailers and vendors to build EDI mappings necessary for digital interactions throughout the retail supply chain. This solution helps retailers improve margins and gain an advantage against large scale competitors.
-
Keyva Service Integration Hub uses Red Hat Ansible to provide organizations with fully audited, automated procurement of IT capabilities and services via a modern service catalog, offering a reduction of shadow IT and enhanced security, visibility and cost savings for customers.
-
Streebo’s AI Powered Banking Bot is a customer service solution that utilizes Red Hat technologies such as OpenShift and natural language processing to build an AI powered conversation interface. This helps reduce operating costs for large and mid-sized banking enterprises as well as increase revenue and overall customer satisfaction.
While these are only a few use cases, they are indicative of the broader work being done throughout the partner ecosystem. In many ways partners are the backbone of Red Hat and continue to act as key multipliers for the open source community. I am so proud of how our partners have responded and executed in challenging circumstances and look forward to building on our established momentum. With this in mind, I feel confident and encouraged entering the second half of the year knowing we will navigate the future together.
