Cloud computing should not be a world that is dominated by public clouds or on-premises datacenters; instead, it should be a blend of technologies that create the concept of hybrid cloud. Red Hat on Red Hat: Transitioning Red Hat IT to hybrid cloud infrastructure using OpenStack and Ceph Storage
Red Hat IT, like other Red Hat customers, is on an open hybrid journey to migrate workloads from traditional platforms to a container-based model. However, as part of this project, we are rethinking what it means to be a datacenter and how applications function across multiple physical sites. In support of this vision, datacenters are being rebuilt to run on Red Hat OpenStack Platform with Red Hat Ceph Storage and Red Hat Gluster Storage to provide a more reliable foundation upon which to layer Red Hat OpenShift and a complete application stack. This session will focus on the Red Hat OpenStack Platform infrastructure and configuration used to achieve this architecture, the challenges we faced, and the integration points with Red Hat OpenShift.
X by Orange: How to build a telco Operator from scratch
X by Orange committed to launch a new, fully software-defined telco operator in Spain—from scratch. They wanted to "Uberize" the telco business by being cloud-based and not owning hardware.
