Dan Walsh is a Red Hat consulting engineer. Dan has led the Red Hat Container Engineering team since August 2013 but has been working on container technology for several years. He has made many contributions to the Docker project, has done a lot of the software development on the Atomic project, and has led the SELinux project, concentrating on applications and policy development. Dan helped develop sVirt, secure virtualization, and the SELinux sandbox, an early desktop container tool in Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 6. Prior to Red Hat, Dan worked at BindView (formerly Netect) on vulnerability assessment products and at Digital Equipment Corporation on the Athena project, as well as AltaVista on its firewall/tunnel (VPN) products.
Brian “Redbeard” Harrington

Brian Harrington, also known as “Redbeard,” was chief architect at CoreOS and is now the product manager for Istio at Red Hat. He is a developer, hacker, and technical writer in the areas of open source development and systems administration. His time spent in both defensive and offensive computing have combined with his readings of classical anarchism to present new ideas in organizational hierarchies for software development. Redbeard has been featured on Al Jazeera as an expert in the field of computer security, and he has been seen and heard on Bloomberg Television and National Public Radio. He was grudgingly elected president of the hackerspace, HacDC.

Erik was a solutions architect for 6 years prior to taking on this role and he’s a Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA). Ken Chenis is an ACI Worldwide chief architect who provides architectural leadership and leads initiatives for ACI’s Product Development organization in the areas of payment intelligence, fraud prevention, security, and SaaS/cloud. In the evolution of ACI’s payment intelligence and fraud platform, Ken leads architects and engineers on innovative projects in the areas of microservices, big data, complex event processing, stream analytics, cloud computing, containerization, and data security. He has a diverse background in enterprise software technologies with a focus on the payments industry, the healthcare industry, and customer relationship management. Ken has three patents pending in the areas of complex event processing, machine learning, and payment initiation.
