Walter Bentley is a lead of Red Hat's Automation Practice with a diverse background in production
systems administration and solutions architecture. He has more than 15 years of experience in sectors
such as online marketing, financial, insurance, aviation, the food industry, education, and technology.
Previously, Walter was typically the requestor, consumer, and trusted advisor to companies using
customer-facing technologies. Today he’s an automation advocate and cloud educator. Walter's first
book, “OpenStack Administration with Ansible,” was released in 2016.
Branden Pleines, consultant, automation practice, Red Hat
Branden Pleines is a consultant in Red Hat's Automation Practice with experience in Ansible and Red
Hat® JBoss® BPM, Red Hat's business process management automation tool. He recently created
Ansible content applying DISA STIGs to 1000+ Windows Servers. Branden is currently working on
Ansible content at a large enterprise in the energy sector spanning multiple operating systems and
teams. His active projects use Ansible to automate the process of applying Oracle’s quarterly database
binary patches to active SQL instances and the reconstruction of the data gathering process for a widely
used, historical configuration drift monitoring tool.
