2019 Power Training courses:

Simplify work. Break down barriers. Speed transformation. These are the results that your team can experience when you start using Ansible. This Power Training will provide an introduction to Ansible® and have you quickly writing code to automate the management and configuration of systems.

Are you ready to take Ansible automation to the next level? This Power Training course explores advanced topics in Ansible automation at scale. Common automation tasks, recommended best practices, and an introduction to Red Hat Ansible Tower will help you manage complex deployments and speed productivity.

Boost productivity and take advantage of a platform and architecture that fosters DevOps principles. Developers should attend this Power Training to gain an understanding of containerizing applications specifically for deployment on Kubernetes using Red Hat OpenShift® Container Platform.

Containers are critical to DevOps transformation. In this Power Training course you can build core knowledge and skills in managing containers through hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

Container-based cloud-native applications provide cost savings and increased speed to market. However, container environments have introduced new attack vectors, exploits, and vulnerabilities. During this course, infrastructure administrators and security professionals will learn how to identify and mitigate threats to OpenShift container-based infrastructure, and to implement and manage secure architecture, policies, and procedures for modern containerized application and software-defined networking.

Digital transformation demands an integrated security program. In this Power Training session you will learn to reduce security risk and to implement, manage, and remediate compliance and security issues on servers running Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Red Hat Enterprise Linux® 8 is currently in beta testing, and brings many new changes and features to the distribution. In this session, we will preview of some of those changes, new features, and recently released features likely to be included in the next major release of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. This course is designed for experienced Red Hat Enterprise Linux system administrators or users who have RHCE certification or equivalent skills.

If you are a Red Hat partner, you can access this course for free on Red Hat Partner Connect beginning in May.

Attendees can only add 1 power training course, as each course is 2 days in length.

Certification exams

Red Hat certifications are among the most highly regarded in the IT industry and mean you have proven your skills by passing a performance-based test of real-world tasks. Exam sessions at Red Hat Summit are limited to 20 students per session and can be added on as part of your official conference registration. Each exam cost $400 and can be purchased during registration.

  • Wednesday, May 8 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

RHCSA certification is earned when an IT professional demonstrates the core system-administration skills required in Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments.

  • Wednesday, May 8 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The performance-based Red Hat Certificate of Expertise in Ansible Automation exam (EX407) tests your ability to use Ansible to automate the configuration of systems and applications. By passing this exam, you earn a Red Hat Certificate of Expertise that also counts towards earning a Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA). This exam is based on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.

  • Thursday, May 9 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

An RHCE certification is earned by a RHCSA who has demonstrated the knowledge, skill, and ability required of a senior system administrator responsible for Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems.

Add Power Training (2 full days of extensive training) to your conference pass for $1,200. Add certification exams to your conference pass for $400 each.
