Notably, we’re at the mid-point of the OpenStack Summit – an event that has brought thousands to Atlanta to talk about the best way to move the fast-growing open source cloud computing platform project forward. As you might expect, many Red Hatters, our partners and customers are at the event. The dispatches I’ve heard from them this week reiterate the strength and potential of OpenStack as it moves from enterprise promise to enterprise reality.
Red Hat is pleased to announce the beta availability of Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform 5.0, our offering that combines the power of Red Hat Enterprise Linux with Red Hat OpenStack technology to deliver a scalable and secure foundation for building an open private or public cloud.

From business and IT executives to enterprise architects, system administrators and developers, Red Hat attendees attended more than 160 instructional sessions, 18+ hands-on labs, keynotes, live demonstrations and customer panels.
