We are nearly at the end of 2020 and while the pace continues to increase, we want to take a moment to acknowledge and celebrate some of the successes of Red Hat's people and their work. In the last four months, several Red Hatters and Red Hat products are being recognized by leading industry publications and organizations for efforts in driving innovation. 

Fortune Magazine - 2020 Best Workplaces for Millennials

For the second year in a row, Red Hat was included on Fortune Magazine’s list of Best Workplaces for Millennials. This year we ranked #19 out of the 75 Best Large Workplaces for Millennials. To develop this ranking, Fortune worked with its research partner Great Place to Work to determine the best employers for those born between 1981 and 1997. To determine millennials’ workplace preferences, they analyzed feedback representing more than 4.9 million U.S. employees. 

Great Places to Work - UK's Best Workplaces in Tech 2020

Also for the second consecutive year, Red Hat has been named to Great Places to Work’s UK's Best Workplaces in Tech list. This year we ranked as the #2 best place to work, moving up two spots from our 2019 ranking. The list is based upon associate surveys and feedback about how they view their workplace. Great Places to Work analyzes recruitment, retention, growth, upskilling and training, diversity and inclusivity, and culture. 

CRN - 2020 Partner Program Guide

For the eighth consecutive year, Red Hat has been awarded a 5-Star rating in the CRN 2020 Partner Program Guide. CRN describes this annual guide as a definitive listing of technology vendors that provide service solutions to the IT channel. The 5-Star Partner Program Guide rating recognizes an elite subset of companies that offer solution providers the best partnering elements in their channel programs. It is compiled based on investments in program offerings, partner profitability, partner training, education and support, marketing programs and resources, sales support, and communication. 

CRN - 2020 Rising Female Stars Of The IT Channel

Rachael Van Devender, global partner strategy manager, was named to CRN's inaugural Rising Female Stars of the IT Channel list. Van Devender leads the Red Hat’s Apex Partner Program, which provides rewards and incentives to partners investing in emerging technologies. Enablement has been a key focus to differentiate the most capable partners and drive better business outcomes.

CRN - 100 People You Don’t Know But Should 2020

Mike Watkins, senior director of North America Solution Architects, was named to CRN's 100 People You Don’t Know But Should list. He was recognized for his ability to combine partner objectives with Red Hat’s business goals. He has built a reputation as a channel champion who strives to improve partner programs.

Women World Awards

Two Red Hatters were recently recognized for their outstanding leadership and influence in the Women World Awards. Leigh Day, vice president of Marketing Communications + Brand, was selected as the gold winner in the Female Executive of the Year - Advertising, Marketing, & Public Relations category for companies of 2,500 and more employees. Laurie Krebs, senior vice president and chief financial officer, was selected as the silver winner in the Female Executive of the Year - Business Services category for companies of 2,500 and more employees. Women World Awards are an annual industry and peer recognition program honoring women in business and the professions and organizations of all types and sizes around the world. 

Cloud Computing Magazine - Cloud Computing Security Excellence Awards

The Cloud Computing Security Excellence Awards honor solutions in two categories: those that most effectively leverage cloud platforms to deliver network security, and those providing security for cloud applications. This year, both Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat OpenStack Platform were selected as winners.

Light Reading - 2020 Leading Lights Awards

Red Hat OpenStack Platform was the winner in the Most Innovative Edge Strategy category for crafting a way for service providers to centrally manage their edge deployments with the same tools used to manage core OpenStack deployments. Presented by Light Reading, the 2020 Leading Lights Awards were chosen following the judging of hundreds of submissions in 21 categories, which this year included recognition for those companies making progress in networking, digital enablement, 5G, AI/Analytics, edge computing, blockchain, SD-WAN, and telco cloud.

OpenText - 2020 Voyager Awards

The OpenText Voyager Awards recognize innovative customers who have leveraged information management solutions to improve efficiencies, redefine business models and transform industries. Red Hat and B2B program manager, Rob Drew, were selected as the winner of the OpenText Information Champion Award for the category ReThinking Supply Chain Operations.  

Adweek - Podcast of the Year Awards

The Adweek Podcast of the Year Awards honors outstanding podcasts and podcast professionals across a wide range of categories. To recognize the hard work, innovation and creativity going into the podcasting medium, the Adweek Podcast of the Year Awards celebrates the best of the best, especially among shows aimed at professional audiences. Red Hat’s original podcast, Command Line Heroes, was selected as Technology Podcast of the Year.

AnitaB.org - 2020 Top Companies for Women Technologists 

For the first time, Red Hat was named a participant in the AnitaB.org Top Companies for Women Technologists program. This program looks specifically at technical employees and awards companies that are making the most progress toward equity. The goal of participating in this award program is to contribute to the industry benchmark and measure our data against other participants.

GDUSA - American Inhouse Design Awards 2020

The American Inhouse Design Awards are the premier showcase for outstanding work being conducted by inhouse creative professionals. The Red Hat Open Studio took home several accolades in various categories including Branding + Identity Programs, Internet Design, Motion Design, and P-O-P, Displays + Signs. 

Stem RTP - 2020 STEMmy Awards

On a local level, we’re proud that Red Hat was named Outreach Organization of the Year at the STEMmy Awards. This award recognizes our efforts with students in the Triangle region, where Red Hat is headquartered. Our team engaged the students with 3D printing and worked with them to create solutions to issues facing education using open source technology. The STEMmy Awards honor those who champion STEM in the Triangle region.
