We are pleased to announce that, once again, Red Hat has been recognized by the Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC) with a U.S. Rising Star Award, which recognizes technology companies with exceptional U.S. sales growth through U.S. distributors over the past year. Red Hat received a Bronze Rising Star Ranking in the category of software companies with at least $20 million in revenue, and was one of only 12 companies chosen by manufacturers and publishers who rely on distributors to meet the product and service requirements of technology and solution providers.

This is the fifth time Red Hat has been honored with a GTDC award, signifying Red Hat's ongoing commitment to its channel partners and distributors. During the past year, Red Hat has achieved significant milestones and highlights in this area, including:

  • the launch of a Partner Assistance Reward program that rewards partners for promoting Red Hat solutions to new businesses without the requirements of sales and fulfillment;

  • a new user interface for Red Hat’s partner portal, simplifying the process for locating relevant tools and materials for partners; and

  • the release of Red Hat Partner Marketing On Demand, marketing automation tools that help Red Hat partners drive demand for Red Hat solutions.

GTDC announced the award selection earlier this month at the organization's 2014 GTDC U.S. Vendor Summit. Sales results for U.S. Rising Star Award winners were compiled based on actual U.S. revenue over the past year as reported by research organization The NPD Group. GTDC members are among the most successful technology companies in the world, with more than $130 billion in global product sales.

We are thrilled that Red Hat was once again recognized for this prestigious award, and look forward to continuing to augment our channel and distribution efforts for years to come.
