Red Hat Expands Alliance with NVIDIA to Accelerate and Scale AI/ML Workloads Across Hybrid Cloud Environments

Red Hat, the world's leading provider of open source solutions, today announced it has deepened its alliance with NVIDIA to accelerate the enterprise adoption of AI, machine learning and data analytics workloads in production environments, and is launching an early access program for prospective customers. By combining Red Hat’s leading enterprise open source software solutions with NVIDIA’s innovative GPU hardware, CUDA-X acceleration libraries, and NGC container registry, the companies are demonstrating new capabilities for running GPU-accelerated workloads across the hybrid cloud. The NGC container registry provides a rich catalog of GPU-accelerated AI/ML and data analytics containers that can run on a foundation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform with supported NVIDIA GPUs on-premise and in the cloud.

Emirates NBD Transforms its Digital Banking with Red Hat-Based Cloud, Winning 2019 Red Hat Innovation Award

Red Hat collaborates with Microsoft on KEDA to enable Azure Functions in OpenShift

May 6, 2019

Today at Microsoft Build, Microsoft introduced KEDA, a new open source project aimed at providing an event-driven scale capability for any container workload. Red Hat is contributing to KEDA (Kubernetes-based event-driven autoscaling), both via the upstream project and bringing its utility to customers using enterprise Kubernetes and containers with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Using KEDA, we enabled Azure Functions on top of Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform in Developer Preview designed to behave the same way it does when running on Azure as a managed service, but now running anywhere OpenShift runs, which means on the hybrid cloud and on-premises.
