We are thrilled to announce that Red Hat has been recognized as a 2016 North Carolina Technology Association (NCTA) Tech Awards winner. Red Hat was named top software company in North Carolina in the “Technology Corporate Awards” category, which “recognizes technology companies for innovation, excellence, and growth.”

A review committee comprised of economic development, education, media, nonprofit and technology leaders across the state selected the NCTA Tech Awards finalists and winners. Their goal was to honor organizations for their contributions to the North Carolina technology community for the only statewide technology awards program of its kind.

Red Hat is one of the largest software companies in North Carolina, with more than 1,400 associates based at our headquarters in Raleigh. Since our founding in 1993, we have been committed to helping the Research Triangle region become a hub for open source innovation. We believe the NCTA award is a reflection of this commitment and are excited about the honor.

The award is the latest in a series of accolades for Red Hat. We were named No. 1 in our category of the “Best Places to Work in the Triangle” by the Triangle Business Journal and were also listed as one of the “World’s Most Innovative Companies” by Forbes.
