API-first approach to development

OpenShift API Management supports teams that want to take an API-first approach to building microservices-based applications so they can modernize existing systems, increase developer productivity, and deliver new applications faster.

Red Hat hosts, manages, and provides dedicated support for both OpenShift Dedicated and OpenShift API Management, including configuration, maintenance, and upgrades, so teams can focus on development rather than managing Kubernetes infrastructure.

OpenShift API management allows you to:

  • Deploy, monitor, and control APIs throughout their entire life cycle
  • Create policies governing security and usage
  • Use existing identity management systems through a declarative policy without requiring custom code
  • Gain insight into health and use of APIs
  • Discover and share APIs by publishing to internal or external developer portals

I need to reduce complexity in my IT infrastructure

As your business grows, so does your IT infrastructure. For instance, you may be hosting your critical applications on-premises today, but looking to a cloud provider to support your newer IT initiatives. If you want to support innovation while extending the value of your existing systems, it’s critical to set a plan for infrastructure standardization. One of the most important first steps in that process is defining a standard operating environment (SOE) for all of IT.

Everything you need to set up software-defined storage

A software-defined object storage platform that also provides interfaces for block and file storage. It supports cloud infrastructure, media repositories, backup and restore systems, and data lakes. It works particularly well with Red Hat OpenStack® Platform.

Transportation and Critical Infrastructure

Learn how Red Hat works with transportation and critical infrastructure agencies to modernize, embrace DevOps, and scale to meet the evolving needs of citizens.

Automating tasks improves efficiency

One state department of transportation was struggling with error-prone tasks causing unplanned downtime, manual procedures delaying projects, and lack of scalability. With Red Hat’s help, manual data center tasks were automated. By building this automation base across departments, the agency reduced unplanned outages, increased speed and accuracy of daily administrative tasks, and orchestrated complex tasks enabling single-click automation.

Choose a Red Hat location near you

You can prove your skills by taking a hands-on certification exam in a classroom setting or scheduling an individual exam at a time and place that is best for you.

Enroll in an individual exam

All Red Hat exams are also available as individual exams that are taken on a secure, preconfigured testing station at a Red Hat—or Red Hat partner—location. You can select a time and date, then prepare at your own pace.

Enroll in a classroom exam

Classroom exams are monitored by a proctor and taken on preconfigured hardware at a Red Hat testing facility. You can enroll in prescheduled classroom exams by selecting a location near you and viewing available dates.

What is cloud management?

Cloud management is a concept that means a user has control over everything that operates in a cloud: the data, applications, and services. The management tools themselves, which generally run as platforms, are the software used to manage those data, applications, and services. These tools are used to ensure that the cloud-computing resources are running efficiently and securely, while accessible to everyone (or everything) that needs them. Basically, cloud management platforms exist so that anything running in a cloud—publicprivate, or hybrid—actually works, and works well.
