Overview
Like many government agencies, the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) are under pressure to innovate and modernize IT. These efforts include initiatives such as, cloud migration, agile development, lowering operations and maintenance (O&M) costs, security and compliance. Open source communities, collaboration and software are the driving force behind innovation in today’s digital world.
Over the last 10 years, Red Hat, has helped agencies like the DOJ and the FBI modernize applications and infrastructures, move workloads to the cloud, and adopt DevSecOps methodologies that lower overall O&M budgets by reducing annual spend.

Ted Brunell - Principal Solutions Architect, Red Hat’s US Public Sector.
Ted has focused on enabling customers to adopt Open Source technology for IT automation and cloud computing. Ted is also
a retired US Marine and in his spare time, he helps to organize a Linux Users Group.
Evong Chung - Senior Manager, Red Hat's US Public Sector.
Evong leads a team of Solutions Architects specializing in developer-oriented solutions from Red Hat's Emerging Technology portfolio, including OpenShift.
Rich DeFiore - Cloud Solutions Specialist
representing Red Hat's Automation and Cloud Enablement Technologies for Law Enforcement Agencies including DoJ, DHS and State Department.
Jason Dudash - Specialist Solutions Architect
where he helps customers understand and adopt emerging technology. Prior to joining Red Hat, he contributed to many successful government programs and projects, from agricultural
innovation using mobile devices to unmanned vehicle command and control software.
David Egts - Chief Technologist, Red Hat's US Public Sector.
Dave is the nexus between public sector customers and Red Hat engineering. With his customer interactions and domain expertise he is qniqulied positioned to blend customer needs with
industry trends.
Kevin Jones - Cloud Architect, Red Hat’s US Public Sector.
Kevin’s mission is to bring OpenStack into public service for Government agencies. Kevin comes to Red Hat from NASA Langley Research Center where he was the Chief Technologist for IT.
Zohaib Khan - Application Modernization Practice Lead, Red Hat US Public Sector.
Zohaib helps organizations incorporate Red Hat emerging technologies such as Microservices and Containerization. He authors a blog that focuses on DevOps, Application Modernization,
disruption within technology (https://stackinnovator.com).
Daud Qazen - Storage Specialist, Red Hat’s US Public Sector.
Daud has dedicated his career to focusing on data center deployments and has helped federal agencies as they embrace Public Cloud, to leverage Software Defined Storage solutions. In particular,
solutions that require portability across Private and Public Clouds.
