CO.LAB: Houston
Red Hat® CO.LAB inspires a new generation of computer scientists and teaches collaboration with open source technology. Students at the Young Women’s College Preparatory Academy in Houston participated in a CO.LAB experience and learned how to build digital cameras with Raspberry Pi computers. The students visually explored their school creed of R.O.S.E., representing the concepts of responsibility, organization, and a sisterhood of excellence. The girls used their cameras to take photographs that reflected the creed—through their eyes.
I learned that you can work together to make new ideas or build on each other's ideas through collaboration. I didn't understand open source before today.
