Red Hat Summit is the premier open source event and it’s entering the second year as a virtual experience. We're truly excited about the chance to meet, virtually, with Red Hat customers, users and partners from around the world. And we do mean around the world, as this year's Red Hat Summit is a truly global event with a choice of three schedules for our friends all over the globe.

This year Summit is expanding to become a flexible conference series with a two-part immersive virtual experience as well as a planned global tour of smaller in-person events.

A truly global event

Though we miss gathering in person and sharing the excitement of being shoulder-to-shoulder with all of you, we are embracing the possibilities that come with a virtual event. We're excited to be able to open the (virtual) doors of Red Hat Summit wide to attendees from anywhere in the world.

This year's Red Hat Summit has several viewing schedules to accommodate people across time zones. So whether you're in Sydney, St. Louis, Cairo, Beijing, Mexico City, São Paulo, Djibouti, New Delhi, Madrid, London or some point in-between, one (or more) of the schedules should be suitable for you.

We are also providing captions in English for live content during Summit, and plan to offer captions shortly after broadcast in Chinese, French, Italian, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Pre-recorded content will have captions and audio translations in those languages on launch.

View the session catalog to see all the sessions we have planned and, once you're registered, put your schedule together. You'll have the chance to catch amazing speakers in our general sessions, participate in "Ask the Experts" sessions, enjoy customer and partner spotlights and (of course) witness demos that provide in-depth explorations of our technology.

New in 2021

We're all about innovation here at Red Hat and that isn't limited to our work upstream or with our product technologies. We also spend a lot of time while planning events like Summit asking ourselves how we can help attendees make the most of their time and have the best experience possible.

This year we're adding two new session types to the Summit Virtual Experience, vision sessions and fundamental sessions. Our vision sessions feature partners, customers and experts to help you prepare for the future of open source technologies. The fundamental sessions are led by Red Hatters diving deep into the building blocks of open source technologies for our attendees who want to expand their knowledge base.

All work and no play…

At Red Hat we believe in meeting our customers' needs and giving them the tools to get their jobs done. We also believe that people need inspiration and the opportunity to recharge to do their best work.

To help you find a little inspiration and enjoyment, we've invited a number of special guests to Red Hat Summit that we think you'll really enjoy hearing from. We have musical guest Ben Folds and guest speakers Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Mick Ebeling and Kumail Nanjiani lending their voices to the virtual experience, with conversations and Q&A guided by our emcee, Red Hat solutions architect Angela Andrews.

There's more to come

Mark your calendars for June 15 and 16, and be ready to build on what you've learned this week with even more insights from breakout sessions and technical content that's geared towards the topics most relevant to your work and career. We'll have more live sessions and "Ask the Experts" opportunities and plenty to do. Stay tuned for the full agenda.
