CO.LAB's Poetry + Pi Workshop
This year at our inaugural Red Hat® Summit experience, CO.LAB invites you to join us for an opportunity to show off your skills and knowledge in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM).
CO.LAB is an immersive learning experience that shares the power of open source, collaboration, and meritocracy. Last year, middle school girls from Boston, New York, Washington D.C., and Raleigh built digital cameras out of Raspberry Pi computers, then took photographs around their cities to match to a specific poem. The result: a collaborative installation that reflected the A (arts) in STEAM, and showed what’s possible when we work together. Now it’s your turn.
CO.LAB alumni will teach you how to build a Raspberry Pi camera, and then you’ll work together to bring a poem to life by capturing images around Red Hat Summit and San Francisco. Throughout Summit, you and other attendees will curate these photos in a giant poetry installation in the Open Source Stories booth.
