Navigating Microservices Architectures

이벤트 장소

  • 2017년 6월 27일
  • Santa Clara, CA
  • RobotX Space

Microservices architectures have many benefits, but they also come with some unique challenges. To maximize the benefits, knowledge and preparation are necessary.

In this tech talk, we'll cover:

  • How to take a strategic approach to microservices— including showing examples of success.
  • How to make your microservices implementation successful using distributed systems patterns and open source technology.
  • Communication patterns, transformations leading to more agile integration.

After the presentation, please stay and join your peers for networking, food and drinks. All attendees will also be entered for a chance to win an Amazon Echo.

Agenda:

SPEAKERS:

Christian Posta (@christianposta ) is Chief Architect of cloud-native applications and is well known for being a frequent blogger, speaker, and open source enthusiast. He is the author of Microservices by Example and contributor on many open source projects, including Apache ActiveMQ, Apache Camel, and Fabric8.io.

Christian works with large companies, creating and deploying large-scale, distributed architectures–many of which are now called microservices-based. He enjoys mentoring, training, and leading teams for success with distributed systems concepts, microservices, DevOps, and cloud-native application design.

Mathew Shuster is VP Solutions at Kovarus where he is responsible for strategy, planning, enablement, and go-to-market of their software, subscriptions, and services businesses. He spends his time with clients helping bring new development strategies and platforms to fruition by bridging the gap with infrastructure and operations.

Mathew has a consulting background focused on application development, integration, and agile project management. He has built large scale integration and messaging solutions with patterns and practices that would now be considered microservices, and implemented enterprise deployment methodologies that would be called DevOps or continuous delivery today.
