Red Hat, Inc. and its affiliated companies and subsidiaries (collectively, “Red Hat”) respect your privacy. This Privacy Statement applies to personal information collected by Red Hat through the Partner Link app (our “App”), and the online services which we operate and on which we post a direct link to this Privacy Statement (collectively, our “Service”). This Privacy Statement does not apply to other websites, applications, products, or services offered or sponsored by Red Hat. Red Hat uses personal information in an effort to enhance your experience on our Service and to better understand how you and other users engage with our Service and with each other. In addition, we may use personal information we collect about you to:

Red Hat shares personal information in the following ways:

  • We may share your information with any members of the Red Hat group, including the parent company, affiliates, subsidiaries and branch offices, to which it is reasonably necessary or desirable for us to disclose your personal information in order to carry out the above-mentioned purposes.
  • Red Hat may share personal information with business partners and service providers in order to support our business operations. These business partners and service providers include, for example, distributors, resellers, payment processors, financial institutions, materials production and shipping companies, postal or government authorities and information technology service providers. AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED INFORMATION

Red Hat automatically collects information about you in a variety of manners when you use our Service, including by collecting device and geolocation data. Unless specified otherwise below, we may use and share this information in the same manner as we use or share personal information about you (described above).

Device Information

Red Hat may collect information from or about the phones or other device where you install or access our app or use our Service, including your unique device identifier or other information (such as information used to remember your preferences in our App or on our Service). We may associate the information collected across your different devices, which helps us provide a more consistent Service and experience across your devices.

Location Information

Red Hat may obtain information about your physical location, such as by use of GPS and other geolocation features in your device, or by inference from other information we collect (for example, your IP address indicates the general geographic region from which you are connecting to the Internet). Red Hat may use this information for providing you relevant information and, in an effort to help you connect with other users of our Service, Red Hat may share information about your location with other users. One of the ways in which we use and display information about your location (and the location of other users) is by integrating with Google Maps. The use of Google Maps is subject to the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy; by using our location-based features, you agree to the Google Terms of Service and Privacy Policy with regard to your access to Google Maps. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

In accordance with the laws of certain countries, you may have certain rights and choices regarding the personal information we collect and maintain about you, and how we communicate with you.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to and receive information about the personal information we maintain about you, update or correct inaccuracies in the information we maintain about you, and have the information blocked or deleted, as appropriate. Your rights to the information we maintain about you may be limited under local law. You also have the right to object to the processing of your information or to withdraw your consent to our processing of information about you.

Note, however, that if you exercise your right to object or your rights of blocking or deletion, if you decline to share certain information with us, or if you withdraw your consent to our processing of information about you, we may not be able to provide to you some of the features and functionalities of the Service.

You may log in and make changes to your information, such as your password and your contact information. You can also change your general preferences and your personalization settings in the App. If necessary, you may also contact us via our Feedback Form and describe the changes you want made to the information you have previously provided. However, note that changing or deleting information necessary for Red Hat to assist with the Services and support may result in a delay or interruption in processing your requests.

You will be given an opportunity to tell us whether you would like to receive information, special offers, and promotional materials by email from Red Hat or our business partners when you create a redhat.com account, when you register for the Service, when you provide us with your personal information, or when we send you a marketing email. We aim to obtain appropriate consent (where required under applicable law) to send you marketing communications. You have the ability to opt out of receiving marketing emails from Red Hat at any time without cost by clicking on the relevant link contained in our marketing emails or by contacting us via our Feedback Form.

SECURITY

Red Hat intends to protect your personal information. We have implemented appropriate physical, administrative and technical safeguards to help us protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use and disclosure. We also require that our business partners and service providers protect such information from unauthorized access, use and disclosure.

SOCIAL MEDIA, PUBLIC FORUMS AND LINKS TO OTHER WEBSITES

Red Hat may provide social media features that enable you to share information with your social networks and interact with Red Hat on various social media websites. Your use of these features may result in the collection or sharing of information about you, depending on the feature. We encourage you to review the privacy policies and settings on the social media websites with which you interact to make sure you understand the information that may be collected, used, and shared by those websites.

Our Service may make chat rooms, forums, blogs, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users. Red Hat does not control and is not responsible for the information collected by websites that can be reached through links from our Service. CHILDREN’S ONLINE PRIVACY

Our Service is not directed to children and Red Hat does not knowingly collect online personal information from children under the age of 13. DATA TRANSFERS AND SAFE HARBOR FRAMEWORK

Red Hat is a global organization, with legal entities, business processes, and technical systems that operate across borders. Red Hat may transfer your personal information to other Red Hat entities in the United States and elsewhere. The United States and other countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country from which you initially provided the information. By accessing the Service, registering for an account, or otherwise providing Red Hat with your personal information, you consent to this transfer of your personal information.
