Video: Muvee-making with Linux and Xen

video widget

Muvee Technologies is a pioneering automatic video editing business. When the company started out, their needs were easily met with Red Hat Linux on the backend, acting as file servers, mail servers, and ftp servers. The early budget was small, so ease-of-licensing and cost made the Linux decision obvious. As the company grew, and its needs increased, their technology needs also changed. Lo Sheng discusses their migration to Red Hat Enterprise Linux, the use of Xen to support their front-end requirements, and the ensuing success on the platform.
