Take Action

Your turn. This is your chance to get out on the mailing lists, write letters to your representatives, and make your concerns known.

Here's a good place to start. Join the Open Source Now mailing list where educators and individuals from Red Hat and the open source community discuss issues that affect open source.

WRITE AND VOTE
The Congress.org website has links to contact your elected officials, from the President to your local representatives. You can also see how your representatives have voted on key issues.

Writing a letter is a simple way to influence policymakers. You voted for them. They work for you. The cumulative effect of thousands of letters from the open source community can be critical to guiding legislation. So we encourage you to write your letters and show your support.
