Red Hat is proud to announce that three of its channel experts have been named to the 2014 CRN “Women of the Channel” list. Rachel Cassidy, vice president, global partner strategy and enablement; Margaret-Ann Bolton, senior director, global partner marketing; and Lana Akamine, program manager, global partner enablement, were each recognized for their leadership, channel advocacy, commitment to partner relationships and success, and implementation and management of innovative channel programs. This is the second year in a row that Rachel and Margaret-Ann have been named to the list, and the first for Lana.

Rachel, Margaret-Ann and Lana were responsible for several initiatives that drove Red Hat’s channel success over the past year. Their achievements included the roll-out of Red Hat’s Online Partner Enablement Network, which provides training and empowers partners to sell and deliver across specialized areas; empowering partners to deliver hands-on delivery services to their customers; and creating a more productive channel through awareness, content, productivity tools, co-marketing initiatives, and measurable metrics.

CRN’s “Women of the Channel” specifically recognizes female channel executives who have risen in the ranks of their organizations. The annual list highlights the accomplishments of female executives within vendor, distribution, and solution provider organizations, and the impact they are having on the advancement of the IT channel industry as a whole.

The list is not the only recognition Red Hat is receiving from CRN. Rachel is also being named to The Power 100, a compilation of women who have earned special distinction based on their exemplary record of success and influence. Earlier in the year, three other Red Hat executives – Mark Enzweiler, senior vice president of Global Channel Sales and Alliances; Jerry Lumpkin, senior director of North America Channel Sales and Development; and Bob Wilson, senior director of North America Channel Sales and Alliances – were named 2014 Channel Chiefs, an honor bestowed to individuals for their proven leadership, advocacy and commitment to partner success.

Congratulations to Rachel, Margaret-Ann and Lana for being recognized for their exemplary work with Red Hat’s channel partners!
