In this presentation, Mark Longwell talks about Red Hat’s direction with respect to Cloud/Containerized Network Functions (CNF) and Virtualized Network Functions (VNF), as it applies to telcos and communications service providers. As telcos and service providers move through VNF to CNF technologies and platforms, more of their services and operations are expected to be virtualized, and this will require telco and Red Hat partners to have their products certified and validated for seamless deployments. Mark talks about recent initiatives with Intel to build a certification lab in New Mexico that can also do interoperability testing, for technology partners.
