The SAP Sales and Distribution (SD) Standard Application Benchmark has become a de
facto standard for evaluating the performance of many enterprise resource planning solutions.
On the latest two-tier SAP SD standard application benchmark results for Linux/x86_64 servers included:
- Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 6 achieved the highest SAP SD two-tier benchmark score (# of users) on a single 2-socket system—fully utilizing all 16 cores and 32 threads running Sybase ASE 15.7 and the SAP enhancement package 5 for SAP ERP 6.0.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 achieved the highest SAP SD two-tier benchmark score (# of users) on a single 4-socket system—fully utilizing all 40 cores and 80 threads running DB2 9.7 and the SAP enhancement package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 achieved the highest SAP SD two-tier benchmark score (# of users) on a single 8-socket system—fully utilizing all 80 cores and 160 threads running MaxDB 7.8 and the SAP enhancement package 4 for SAP ERP 6.0.
