Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE:RHT), the world’s leading provider of open source solutions, today announced that Marye Anne Fox, Ph.D., has submitted her resignation from the Red Hat Board of Directors, effective at the company’s 2015 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. Fox, Chancellor Emerita at the University of California, San Diego, has served as a Director of Red Hat since 2002 and currently is a member of its Compensation Committee and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. Fox has indicated that she intends to spend additional time with her family.

For more than a decade, Fox has played an invaluable role on Red Hat’s Board of Directors, bringing passion, insights and wisdom to Red Hat and its shareholders.
