Our latest award roll call includes recognition in categories ranging from Red Hat’s unique workplace culture, our talented individuals who make Red Hat so special, our incredibly talented design and creative teams and the depth and experience of our business portfolio.

Red Hat has been recognized several times for its workplace culture the past few months.

FlexJobs Top 100 Companies to Watch for Remote Jobs 

Red Hat was named number 36 on the list of top 100 companies for remote jobs, up from 43 last year. The list is based on an analysis of more than 54,000 companies and their remote job posting history in the FlexJob database. The top 100 companies chosen offer more remote-friendly positions than any others, meaning offering either 100% remote work, partial remote work or having the option for remote work. According to FlexJobs, there has been growth in both the sheer volume of remote job listings and the variety of remote job titles since the list was last published in 2019. The top career fields for remote work continue to be Medical & Health and Computer & IT.

Triangle Business Journal 2020 SPACE Awards: Leadership, Economic Development & New Construction

Red Hat’s new office space on the first floor of the headquarters in Raleigh, N.C. has been honored by the Triangle Business Journal with recognition in the 2020 SPACE Awards. Red Hat’s new, revamped creative space houses part of our Marketing Communications team, known as the Open Studio, received the top development award for construction of a new office space.

FedScoop 50 

Paul Smith, Red Hat’s senior vice president and general manager of Public Sector in North America, has been recognized by FedScoop for his industry leadership. This year, FedScoop received thousands of nominees for top leaders in the federal technology space who have made a lasting impact on the community and nation in 2019. This year, there were more than 500,000 votes cast for the nominees between the months of September and October. FedScoop was able to narrow this field down to 200 finalist, and the public voted for the top 50 leaders across the eight categories: Golden Gov: Executive of the Year, Federal Leadership, Cybersecurity Leader of the Year, Disruptor of the Year, Industry Leadership, Most Inspiring Up & Comer, Tech Champion of the Year, and Innovation of the Year.

CRN2020 Channel Chiefs 

Three of our own Red Hatter’s have been recognized by CRN Magazine as 2019 Channel Chief Honorees. They were selected by CRN’s editorial staff on the basis of professional achievements, standing in the industry, dedication to the channel partner community and strategies for driving future growth and innovation. Mark Enzweiller, senior vice president of Global Channel Sales and Alliances and Terri Hall, vice president of Global Partners and Alliances, and Steve Mungall, vice president of Global Partners and Alliances. In addition, Mark was also included in the 2020 Channel Chiefs: The 50 Most Influential list, made of the 50 leaders who drive the channel agenda and evangelize the importance of channel partnerships.

Our design and creative teams have been recognized several times since last November.

NYX Awards 

Formerly known as GlobalTrend Awards, the NYX MarCom Awards celebrate some of the best marketing, communications and video concepts in the industry today. Red Hat was the Triumph Winner in two categories for our Red Hat Open Studio work: Command Line Heroes in Brand Journalism and Red Hat Summit 2019 in the Events category. In addition, we were the Ascend Winner in Integrated Marketing Campaign category for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 Launch

We also are honored to have been recognized for multiple NYX Video Awards. These awards celebrate the best visual ideas from all around the world, where glitzy visuals are paired with unparalleled creativity and effectiveness. Red Hat Open Studio was honored with a Triumph Award in the Documentary category for Open Source Stories: Farming for the Future. We also received Ascent Awards in the Business-to-Business for Anthem Films: Red Hat OpenShift 4 and in the Company Overview category, Red Hat and IBM were recognized for Dreamers. Thinkers. Makers. Red Hat & IBM.

MarCom Awards 

Red Hat was recognized in five distinct categories in the MarCom Awards. The awards - administered by the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals (AMCP) - honor excellence in marketing and communications while recognizing the hard work, creativity and generosity of industry professionals. Started in 2004, the MarComs awards are now widely recognized as one of the largest and most respected industry creative awards in the world. This year, more than 6,000 print and digital submissions were received from over a dozen countries. Red Hat was honored with three Platinum Wins, one in the category of Best Podcast for Command Line Heroes Season 2, one in the category of Branding Refresh for Open Brand Project, and in the category of Product Launch for the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 launch. Red Hat also received a Gold Winner in the Special Event category for Red Hat Summit 2019, and a Gold Winner for a Video/Film in Marketing Product/Service for the HCA Healthcare Customer Reference video.

ComputingTechnology Product Awards 2019

Computing's Technology Product Awards aim to recognize the very best of the UK's technology industry, from the most innovative and compelling products and vendors, through to the top use cases from end-user firms. Votes on Computing's short list of nominees determine the winners of the Technology Product Awards. Red Hat took home several awards, including Best Business Storage Product for Red Hat Ceph Storage, Infrastructure Product of the Year for Red Hat OpenShift 4, Best Cloud Computing Provider, Technology Innovator of the Year, and Best Digital Transformation Product or Service for Red Hat's Open Innovation Labs.

2020 DEViES 

Quarkus, a Red Hat lead project, has won a 2020 DEViE Award for Best Innovation in Code Frameworks/Library. Quarkus is a Kubernetes-native Java stack tailored for GraalVM and HotSpot, crafted from best-of-breed Java libraries and standards. It is a disruptive technology that combines developer productivity capabilities with runtime efficiency that rivals or exceeds that of Go or Node.js. The goal is to make Java a leading platform in Kubernetes and serverless environments while offering developers a unified reactive and imperative programming model to optimally address a wide range of distributed application architectures. The 2020 DEViE awards, hosted by DeveloperWeek, recognize technical innovation, adoption and reception in the developer technology industry and by the developer community. 

Ford IT Innovation Award 

Red Hat OpenShift has been honored with the 2019 Ford IT Innovation Award. In its fourth year, the award showcases Ford’s technology partners that have helped it launch new capabilities and services or enhance existing operations. The Ford IT Innovation Award emphasizes Red Hat’s work related to the digital transformation of stateful applications across Ford’s hybrid cloud environment, spanning dispersed datacenters and multiple public clouds, as well as Red Hat’s leadership in enterprise Kubernetes innovation and its collaboration with Ford Motor Company’s technical leaders. India Mobile Congress Awards

Red Hat has been recognized by the India Mobile Congress for the best open source solution in the Telecom Industry. The awards are highly sought after, and are given to the best businesses, innovations and institutions in the mobile and telecoms space, from a panel of respected technology experts and distinguished industry pundits.
