If you haven’t heard, RHCE turned 10 in 2009 – a definite cause for a year-long celebration! To date there are nearly 40,000 RHCEs across the globe. RHCE certification is one of the largest performance-based Linux certification programs. As increasing numbers of companies migrate to open source, both individuals and organizations are engaging Red Hat performance-based training and certification to expand IT skill sets and fully optimize migration and long-term administration efforts.

We’re adding more RHCEs every year and the program continues to be recognized with several accolades. In fact, Red Hat was recently recognized as the #1 vendor in all of IT training by IDC.

We’re very proud of our RHCEs’ accomplishments and would like to recognize the “best of the best.” If you are an exceptional RHCE, please take a moment to nominate yourself for the 2009 RHCE of the Year contest. Maybe you have solved a difficult technical problem for your company or helped reduce costs by efficiently administering multiple boxes? Whatever the level of accomplishment or success achieved, we’d like to hear about it. Need inspiration? Take a look at some of the essays from past RHCE of the Year winners.

Red Hat will select five winners of the 2009 RHCE of the Year contest to be recognized at a special RHCE reception at this year’s Red Hat Summit and JBoss World in Chicago, Sept. 1-4, 2009. Check out the application information and instructions here and nominate a deserving RHCE today.
