Red Hat continues partnership with edX.org with release of new Fundamentals of Containers, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift course

Following the initial release of the free Red Hat Enterprise Linux course on edX, Red Hat Training and Certification ramped up to continue adding courses to the platform. Founded by MIT and Harvard, edX is the only leading provider of massive open online courses that is both nonprofit and open source, making it a great platform to align with Red Hat’s open source culture.

Red Hat’s latest course release on edX.org covers containers, Kubernetes, and Red Hat Openshift. Since containers are rapidly becoming a deployment technology of choice in organizations adopting DevOps principles and practices, the hope is to inspire the next generation of DevOps innovators to get started with the right foundational skills. With more than 90% of the Fortune Global 500 relying on Red Hat products and services, it is important that students build their foundational skills on these actual products that they will be relying on in their organization. By learning a product like Kubernetes directly from Red Hat, students are getting access to information developed by one of the first companies to work with Google on Kubernetes and the 2nd leading contributor to Kubernetes upstream project.
