[rhn-users] hostname in 'localhost' line of /etc/hosts

Interesting.

Mine doesn't have the "myhost" at the end. In fact, mine leaves that
line well alone..

As 127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost

Its actual IP is on the line below such as

x.x.x.x myhost myhost.mydomain.com

Ive not seen it mix like that..
