T-Mobile & Red Hat Automation Codefest

Overview

Red Hat and T-Mobile are hosting an Automation Codefest program starting in June to challenge teams to create innovative automation solutions that drive the Telco to Techco transformation providing business advantages for T-Mobile. Prior to the Automation Codefest, we will host three half-day, in-person events and one virtual webinar to focus on the Automation Codefest preparation work required including hands-on labs, demos, discussions, use cases and more. Final presentations for the Automation Codefest will be judged by leadership from both T-Mobile and Red Hat at the end of June.

Who should attend?
The Automation Codefest preparation workshops are intended for T-Mobile associates who want to learn more about AI and Red Hat® Ansible® Automation Platform and how it can help you orchestrate, operationalize and govern your hybrid cloud environments. Attendees will have the opportunity to present their ideas to a panel of T-Mobile management and other participants at the Automation Codefest in June receiving first, second and third place award recognition.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: How many people can be on my submission team?
A: As many as you’d like!  Cross-team collaboration is encouraged, but engage your manager on the use cases so we can make sure we know which team ultimately owns the workload.

Q: Is my use case allowed?
A: We will have pre-built environments for you to test out your use case prior to submissions.  Your use case ideally should fit into the following environments:
          -1 or 2 Cisco endpoints
-Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) with Event Driven Ansible
          -AAP for RHEL upgrades
          -AAP on OpenShift
-Custom deployment IF use case is cleared in advance prior to the workshop

Q: What if I don’t finish deploying my use case?
A: That’s ok!  You may need more time to explore after the event.  Create a slide deck or other presentation asset to share what you’ve worked on.
