Stefanie Chiras

Vice President and General Manager, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Business Unit, Red Hat

Dr. Stefanie Chiras is the Vice President and General Manager of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux organization at Red Hat. The Red Hat Enterprise Linux organization is responsible for the successful definition, execution, and delivery of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Dr. Chiras’s organization sets the worldwide business standards and works in tandem with customers and partners to ensure Red Hat Enterprise Linux exceeds market demands.

As Vice President and General Manager of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux organization, Chiras drives an adaptive and collaborative approach to the strategic implementation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, from transforming customer deployments to delivering the technical foundation for the entire Red Hat portfolio. Her teams also enable engineering relationships and execution for the wide ecosystem of Red Hat partners.

Paul Cormier

President and CEO, Red Hat

Paul Cormier is President and CEO of Red Hat, the world’s leading provider of open source enterprise IT software solutions and services. Before his current role, Cormier was President of Products and Technologies at Red Hat, having been with the company since 2001, driving major strategy shifts and expansion of the company’s portfolio of products and services. Under his leadership and with his experience in enterprise technology, He helped to pioneer a commercial business model for open source software, moving open source innovation from passionate communities to broad adoption from the datacenter to the cloud.

Cormier is credited with leading efforts to introduce an enterprise subscription model leading to the development of Red Hat Enterprise Linux. He pioneered the vision for one open hybrid cloud platform that could span traditional, on-premise hardware to multiple clouds. As part of this vision, he has been instrumental in forging strategic partnerships with many leading technology companies to enable technologies to work across hybrid enterprise IT environments and multiple clouds.

Srinivasa Kalapala

Vice President, Technology and Supplier Strategy, Verizon

Srini Kalapala is the Vice President of Technology and Supplier Strategy for Verizon. He is responsible for developing next-generation network technologies and strategies, identifying and partnering with suppliers to enable Verizon's technology strategy and driving technology architecture efforts across Verizon. Kalapala is also responsible for development of network cloud and edge platforms and for driving virtualization and automation across the networks.

Prior to his current role, Kalapala managed strategy and architecture functions in the Information Technology organization, where he led technology transformation efforts in the areas of workforce mobility, wireline network transformation and platform rationalization. Kalapala’s team also developed world-class CRM platforms for technicians and call centers supporting FiOS business. Forrester recognized Kalapala’s team as one of the top five leading architecture organizations in the world for these efforts.

Kalapala plays notable roles in the delivery of long distance, voice unbundling, and development of broadband strategies at Verizon. Prior to Verizon, Kalapala worked at British Telecom, IBM, and MCI in various technology roles driving workforce and network management transformations. Kalapala is also a member of the board for the Linux Foundation for Networking and is active across other areas tied to software and networks.

Jim Whitehurst

President, IBM

Jim Whitehurst is the President of IBM. He is responsible for the IBM Cloud and Cognitive Software organization, and Corporate Strategy. He is an advocate for open principles as a catalyst for business innovation.

Prior to IBM, Whitehurst was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Red Hat. At Red Hat, Whitehurst grew its influence with key milestones—including becoming the first US$1 billion revenue open source software company in 2012 and most notably, the landmark acquisition of Red Hat by IBM for US$34 billion in 2019. Under his leadership, Red Hat was named to the Forbes World’s Most Innovative Companies list, and Barron’s named him one of the world’s best CEOs.

In 2015, Whitehurst published a book, "The Open Organization: Igniting Passion and Performance," showing how open principles of management can help organizations navigate and succeed in a fast-paced, connected era.

Prior to Red Hat, Whitehurst served as CEO at Delta Air Lines and as Partner at The Boston Consulting Group.
