William Henry

William is a software and IT enthusiast with over 30 years of experience developing distributed applications and systems and service based architectures for both government and private industry. He has a research background in software development risk management.

William joined Red Hat in the office of the CTO in 2008 as a Distinguished Engineer focusing on emerging technologies, including distributed messaging, high-performance computing, and real-time kernel. He currently works in Ecosystem Engineering and has previously held roles in portfolio strategy, Linux container technologies, and DevOps/DevSecOps strategy. He travels globally, explaining emerging technologies and how they can bring value to organizations when successfully deployed.

William has worked in software engineering, professional services, partner alliances, several management and director roles, and owned and sold his own successful engineering consulting company. He is now a Red Hat Senior Distinguished Engineer.
