Description
This course introduces the essential skills one must have in order to undertake further study in system administration or software development in a Linux environment or to work in these or similar job roles.
Special Feature: online Red Hat Linux labs! The units in this course include an online lab feature to give course participants an opportunity to apply their knowledge and practice what they've learned in a live environment. To complete the exercises, course participants will need to access the lab feature using an SSH (Secure Shell) client.
This course also helps prepare course participants for the Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT) and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) exams, and serves as a prerequisite for the next course in the Red Hat eLearning curriculum, Red Hat Linux System Administration. This unit provides an introduction to bash shell scripting and related topics.
RH033: Red Hat Linux Essentials 4:
Networking, Printing
This unit teaches participants to configure networking and printing in Linux.
Prerequisites:
Before taking this course, participants should have basic familiarity with computers and have experience using Microsoft Windows or another operating system.
