GNUPro is an open-source C and C++ toolsuite that contains the latest technology developed by expert Red Hat engineers with enhancements and extensions contributed by developers from around the world in the open source community.

GNUPro includes a compiler suite made up of the GNUPro C compiler, the GNUPro C++ compiler , and a range of additional tools and utilities, including the GNU assembler (gas), GNU linker (ld) for most platforms, and binary utilities (binutils). The compilation technology in the GNUPro toolsuite is based on the gcc project an open source development project driving the leading edge in compiler technology.

GNUPro also includes the technology and tools for effective, efficient debug sessions. The standard command-line debugger, gdb, supports the same range of host systems and target microprocessors as gcc/g++. GDB allows the developer complete access to program state, including source and assembly level, variables, registers, and memory. Online help facilitates the use of the broad range of features.
