RHCE of the Year, APAC, 2008
"I believe in Linux, and that is the reason I was certified as RHCE in 2001. [My work] implementation cost almost nothing except a book a PC, and a smart penguin."
I like Linux® because it gives you choices. I believe in Linux, and that is the reason I was certified as an RHCE® in 2001. At work I set up Nagios running on Fedora 8 as my dashboard to monitor Red Hat Enterprise Linux®, Solaris, and Windows systems, a wonderful early warning system, and real time system status tools. Long learning curve, but it paid off, as the whole implementation costs almost nothing except a book, a PC, and a smart penguin. At home I trashed my Windows Media Center because of its DRM. Started setting up MythTV at the beginning of the year on my Sun Ultra 20, and it rocks! Actually I don't think I should be considered RHCE of the Year, but just want to share the fun of Linux!
