Performance-based exams

These performance-based exams provide assurance to customers and employers who rely on these certified IT professionals to administer, manage, and secure their infrastructures.

With performance-based exams, either candidates know the answers or they don't. There is no opportunity to guess as there is with multiple choice questions.

Exam retake insurance

The unintended result of this rigorous testing method is that many candidates do not pass Red Hat certification exams the first time they take them. In fact, for some of Red Hat's exams, the pass rate is less than 50% for first-time test takers. This can pose a problem for candidates, as they must go back to their management and request additional funding for additional attempts.

This is why Red Hat is pleased to offer Red Hat Certification Success Packs. This offering acts as insurance, providing a retake of the exam(s) if unsuccessful on the first attempt.

  • Retake must be taken no more than 6 months after original exam date.

  • Retake is not transferable or refundable if candidate passes first attempt.

  2. Choose the date and location desired, and select Enroll.

  3. On the enrollment form, ensure that the corresponding offer code is populated prior to submitting registration.
