Red Hat is pleased to announce the results of the first annual Red Hat Innovation Awards. The Awards provide an opportunity for the Red Hat community to share their stories and be recognized for their commitment to innovating and extending Red Hat technologies. Red Hat customers and partners worldwide were invited to submit a nomination, or be nominated by a development team leader, business partner, or supplier.
A panel of judges selected one winner from each of the categories below to be an Innovation Award winner. Winners received a free pass to the Red Hat Summit, where their their technological achievements were featured in a press release and at an awards ceremony. At the Summit, the community was encouraged to vote for the Innovator of the Year — the person who forged new ground and used Red Hat solutions in an inspiring way. With over 600 votes from the community, Hill Air Force Base was selected the 2007 Red Hat Innovator of the Year.
We would like to congratulate each of the category winners for their captivating stories of technical achievement and encourage you to read their submissions. It's not too early to begin thinking about your project to submit for 2008!
