Manager-system
Our company works as a business process outsourcing (BPO) and software development organisation and certified ISO 270001 company. Current setup is 350 users, including development and BPO. Where we required a greater amount of security, we have migrated more than 300 machines to Red Hat Enterprise Linux®. Following are the areas where we have saved a lot of cost and achieved greater security:
-
Our external firewall is on Linux using IPTables. It supports two lease lines.
-
A Linux machine working as an internal router separates dev and BPO networks.
-
Postgres is the database backend for our BPO application.
-
Samba is used as the domain controller.
-
LDAP is used for centralized authentication.
-
Qmail is used as the mail server authenticating to LDAP.
-
Squid is the proxy server authenticating to LDAP.
-
CVS is the repository for code authenticating to LDAP.
-
Horde is the web-frontend for mail and CVS.
-
OpenOffice is used for documentation purposes.
-
Nagios is used for monitoring server availability.
