Juan Quesada
"I use my RHCE skills daily and I continue to impress my colleagues with the wonders of Linux and kickstart."
Senior Linux engineer
A Senior Linux® Engineer, Juan Quesada was given the chance to put his Red Hat® Certified Engineer (RHCE®) skills to use in order to improve his company's productivity. "Our NT server running our email platform blue screened and gave me the perfect opportunity to bring in Linux," said Quesada. "I took the initiative and wiped out NT and installed Red Hat 7.1 on the box. The rest is history. For the next few days, people were constantly asking if we had done an upgrade of some sort because our system was running so much faster. Also, there were no reboots occurring," he said. Quesada's successful migration to Red Hat solutions was aided by his RHCE certification.
Quesada has been very impressed by the RHCE program and the benefits he has received from it. "The RHCE program is different, exciting," he said. "I like the fact that the test is hands-on instead of written because you come out feeling as if you've shown what you are capable of doing." Quesada feels as if RHCE has given him a professional boost that has earned him additional respect from his colleagues. "I use my RHCE skills daily and I continue to impress my colleagues with the wonders of Linux and kickstart," said Quesada.
