Marco Emanel Palazzotti, the 2006 Red Hat® Certified Engineer (RHCE®) of the Year in EMEA, has been developing Linux®-based storage solutions since 2000. Palazzotti's current employer has started the IOSA (Innovia Open System & Source Attitude) project to develop integration services and solutions on open software. "We are involved in server and storage (NAS/SAN) consolidation projects using virtualization solutions," said Palazzotti. "We are [educating] our customers that satellite and GFS will improve their IT infrastructure. Being an RHCE is something special for me, because I am not only a Linux engineer, but Linux is also my passion."
